One of Porto’s most iconic landmarks and must thing to see in Porto, the São Bento Railway Station should be everyone’s first stop in Porto. This magnificent atrium is decorated with over 20,000 azulejo tiles that come together to form scenes from Portugal’s history and culture. As a functioning train station that connects Portugal to surrounding regions, the São Bento is a living piece of art that can’t be missed!

Livraria Lello is often considered one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. Its Neo-Gothic architecture and ornate wooden bookshelves look like something out of a Gothic storybook. In fact, you won’t be surprised to hear that this very bookshop is said to have inspired J.K. Rowling’s depiction of Hogwarts from the Harry Potter Series. Make sure you get there early, as there are usually lines to enter at all times of the day.
